-HTML Page or web page originally
were started to display static text.
- Later one web pages were able to show text or data in
other forms
like images, audio, etc.
- Also today, the static WWW is converted to dynamic which means today HTML pages are created in dynamic form which can be continuously update even after loaded in browser.
- Also
todays HTML pages can collect user events and
process accordingly like if user click on GO or SUBMIT button what action to be taken,
etc.
- HTML page not only can perform the job of giving output to user but also can be used to get input from user in different ways.
-FORM is one such standard technique to collect data from user to be stored in systematic way. E.g. Form for Online Payment of College Fees / Exam Fees, etc (SBI Collect) Registration Form, Application, Feedback form, etc.
- HTML Forms are required when you want to collect some data from the site visitor / User.
-For
example during user registration you would like to collect information such as name, email address, credit card, etc.
- A form will take input from the
site visitor and then will post it to
a back-end application such as CGI, ASP Script
or PHP script etc.
-The back-end application will perform required
processing on the passed data based on defined business logic inside the application.
-There are various form elements available like text fields, textarea fields, drop-down menus, radio buttons, checkboxes, etc.
- To create HTML Form, HTML supports
<Form>…</Form> paired
or container tag which can be used as:
